Apr 24 – Managing Stress

The Caregiver Education presentation for Tuesday, April 24th about  Managing Stress will be given by Jodi Sudik, BS, ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and Health Coach, Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer for Bryan Health.  Jodi holds several certifications and has worked in corporate wellness, health and fitness for over thirty years.
She shared that STRESS is recognized as the #1 proxy killer disease today.  The American Medical Association has noted that stress is the basic cause of more than 60% of all human illness and disease.
This presentation will help you understand the mechanics of stress.  As a result, you will become more aware and sensitive to your own level of stress and knowing when and how to take proactive steps.  This increased awareness will also help you to take better care of you as well as your family, friends and colleagues.  This presentation will provide very useful  information for all caregivers, family members, pastors/church members, friends, and neighbors as well as professional care providers.

The Caregiver Education Group and Saint Paul UMC sponsor meetings for caregivers held the fourth Tuesday of each month at Saint Paul UMC, 1144 M Street.  The meetings are held in Room 155 on the main level.  The presentation begins at 1:30pm.  There is always time allowed for discussion and sharing after the presentation.  There is parking underneath the church.  You enter off 11th Street (between N & M Streets) right after the alley.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  We are pleased that Jen Wolf-Wubbels from Southlake Village, who is a member of the Lincoln Caregiver Education Group, brings yummy treats to the meeting each month.  Thanks so much, Jen.
