  • $10 Lifetime pass
  • For U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
  • May be obtained in person at a Federal recreation site or through the mail using this online application. Visitors must provide documentation of age and residency.
  • May provide a 50 percent discount on some Expanded Amenity fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launch, and specialized interpretive services.
  • Generally does NOT cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessionaires

Additional Details about the Senior Pass

America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Passes are your ticket to more than 2,000 national parks, national wildlife refuges, national forests and grasslands and lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation.  One of the passes offered in the series is the Senior Pass. This lifetime pass is available for citizens or permanent residents of the United States, age 62 or older.  There is a one time $10 fee.  The pass will admit the card holder and 3 adults into areas that charge per person fees, and the pass owner and accompanying passengers in a private vehicle for areas that charge per vehicle fees.  Passes can be obtained in person at staffed federal sites that sell the passes, such as national park service areas.  They can also be obtained via mail.  Go to http://www.recreation.gov/pass for more information.
