Terri Allen – Polaroid Transfer Artist

Terri Allen – Polaroid Transfer Artist.

Polaroid transfers are created in three steps.

First a picture is taken with slide film, then the slide image is exposed onto Polaroid film, and from there the image is developed on watercolor paper.

The wide range of variables possible during developing and printing make it impossible for two images to ever be alike.   The receptor surface, timing, exposure, and transfer technique are all factors that determine how the image comes to life.
